Spending 34 years at Cummins, Dana has held a number of production management and quality roles over the course of his career, including Production Manager, Plant Quality Manager, Black Belt, Master Black Belt, Plant Manager at Jamestown Engine Plant, General Manager—Heavy Duty Operations, Executive Director—Global Supply Chain CTT, and Executive Director—Enterprise Quality and Joint Venture Supply Chain and Manufacturing. He currently serves as the Vice President of Quality.
Dana was among the first group of Cummins Inc. Six Sigma Black Belts in 1999, where he distinguished himself by completing seven projects with combined savings in excess of $9 million. In 2001, Dana also became one of the company’s first Master Black Belts, helping to launch the Six Sigma cultural change revolution within Cummins Inc. In 2005, he received the J. Irwin Miller Leadership Award, and in 2006, Vogt was awarded the Cummins Inc. Safety Executive Award. He also is a graduate of Cummins’ Executive Development Program. Dana is a graduate of Purdue University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Today, Dana lives in Columbus, Indiana with his wife and has two grown daughters, and most recently welcomed his first granddaughter.
